ABC Family's new show GREEK has me cracking up this summer. Having been Greek myself, I must admit a lot of what seems like ridiculous ratings gags actually goes on in Greek life. Dressing up in outrageous costumes, pimps and hoes mixers, trying to play intramural sports incredibly hung over...been there. More importantly though the shows writers also do a great job portraying the positives of being Greek. When I first heard about the show I was worried it would be very Animal House like with one dimensional stereotypical characters. I should have realized ABC Family was much better than that. One of the funniest characters isn't part of a fraternity or sorority, its one of the main characters (Rusty Cartright) roommate - Dale. Dale is a extremely religious confederate flag wielding southerner who continually thrusts his moral beliefs on Rusty and always has a hilarious comment on Rusty's pledging/fraternity experience. Definitely check it out, Monday nights 9pm.
